During my time at Mombo Safari Camp, I've been fortunate enough to witness rare moments - from the heartwarming sight of a lioness caring for her playful cubs to the conversations shared with local guides, every experience has been a reminder of the beauty of human connection and the spirit of the Delta.

I was also granted the rare privilege of witnessing the intense cycle of life in the wild. One unforgettable night beneath our tent, a pride of lions orchestrated a brutal hunt, their haunting cries echoed through the night as they claimed a water buffalo. In the morning, the aftermath revealed the harsh reality of survival, yet amidst the chaos, a tender moment unfolded during our sunrise safari —a mother lion and her two newborn cubs emerged, amidst the circle of life.
