CULTURE
is in the streets
Havana, Cuba
It is impossible to encapsulate the vibrant Cuban spirit in mere words.
In this Caribbean gem, the walls are the ones that speak—tales of nostalgia and beautiful decay.

Walking the streets of Havana feels like stepping into a cinematic time capsule, transporting you back to the 50's. The fusion of history and present-day life is an experience that unfolds with every step, while the vintage cars, remnants of a bygone era, add a touch of nostalgic charm to the experience.
Havana's streets are not just pathways but vibrant canvases where culture comes alive. The street art, with its vivid colors, and bold expressions, serves as a powerful medium for the Cuban people to express their identity and preserve their rich cultural heritage. Immersing myself in this street art was like deciphering the visual poetry of Cuba itself.

A highlight of my journey was the live performance of Buena Vista Social Club's music at Cafe La Taberna in Plaza Vieja. The male singer exuded the same ambiance as the iconic members of Buena Vista Social Club, prompting me to capture a portrait of him, freezing the essence of that unforgettable moment.

Paladar La Guarida, perched atop a historic building from the early 20th century, is a culinary haven that transcends time. Tradition and contemporary elements seamlessly coexist within its beautiful decayed walls, offering a gastronomic journey that mirrors Cuba's multifaceted culture.
